The past week, AVIDduo performed our Different Worlds program and gave lectures and masterclasses at Northeastern State University, Millersville College, and Lafayette College! We were delighted to perform on the Old Wood New Sounds concert series as well which had amazing wine pairings by The Vineyard at Grandview. After our tour, we spent a few days in New York visiting the Yamaha Atelier, seeing some amazing art exhibits, and visiting old friends!

I am excited to announce the Different Worlds program for the upcoming AVIDduo performances next month! We will be performing works by Josh Clausen, Anna E. Garman, Kendra Kestner, Tyler Kline, Marc Mellits, Sam Melnick, Mark Oliveiro, and Kirk O'Riordan!
Hello Friends! This fall, AVIDduo is playing a concert on the Old Wood New Sounds series! Our performance will be September 15, 2014 at Sugar Tank Studio in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Buy your tickets through the Kickstarter and receive a free live performance download of the show. If you can't make it to Lancaster, donate at the $25 level and receive a live recording of the entire AVIDduo concert. Program consists of music by Joshua Clausen, Anna E. Garman, Kendra Kestner, Tyler Kline, Marc Mellits, Sam Melnick, Mark Oliveiro, and Kirk O'Riordan. Support live music and new music by donating; see the video below for more information from Kate Umble, founder and director of OWNS. Last week I traveled to Sacramento, CA to compete as a finalist in the MPE Int'l Competition. Although I did not win the grand prize, it was a terrific experience and I met some truly wonderful people. It was a great time, and I was fortunate enough to come home with a cash prize!
Very excited to announce that Jeremy Wagner will be writing a new work for me funded by New Music USA! To visit the project page, click here.
New piece in the works for AVIDduo by Josh Clausen. Check out this demo video he put together - I am playing on the track! Looking forward to premiering it next season! A late upload, but enjoy this video from a (not so) recent performance with Alexander Richards and Jerrod Wendland of Don Freund's Louder Than Words! Check out this video from a recent art project I took part in - myself along with six other artists created instruments out of found objects and installed them in a public space for people passing by to play. The sounds were also being manipulated with live electronics. Two weeks ago, AVIDduo met up in Dallas, TX to prepare for our Educational Tour sponsored by Music-1st. We gave performances and presentations on contemporary music to students at fourteen different schools in the area followed by a recital at Rock & Bach Performing Arts School in Frisco. |
